PURPOSE:
To relinquish the county’s interest in the existing sewer easement, which runs along a dam spillway within Milam Park. In exchange, the county will obtain a new easement to install its sewer pipe asset that will be realigned with the parcel.
NEED/IMPACT:
Department of Watershed is relocating its sewer asset within Parcel ID 18-096-130-23. The work is being completed through Design Build Consent Decree Package One (1). Scope of work includes upgrading the sewer line from an 8” to a 12” pipe.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact associated with this item. The City of Clarkston is allowing the county to exchange the existing easement for the new realigned easement.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Department of Watershed Management recommends approving the attached Quit Claim Deed for Land Lot 96 in a form acceptable to the County Attorney and allowing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents. The final recorded documents will be completed as necessary by Law.
