PURPOSE:
On 9/24/24, agenda item 2024-0433 was approved by the Board of Commissioners for the purchase, installation and service of 75 FLOCK cameras at 75 determined locations. To strengthen public safety throughout District 5, this substitute item will add an additional 10 locations to the existing 12 locations in District 5.
NEED/IMPACT:
This request is to purchase 10 additional LPR Cameras (Phase 5). This purchase of 10 additional FLOCK cameras provides the ability to provide real time alerts for stolen vehicles, wanted persons and other criminal activity associated with a vehicle and/or person. The purchase includes installation and maintenance services. This is proprietary equipment, the vendor is the sole provider of the comprehensive monitoring and the processing of machine vision services.
