PURPOSE:

To consider accepting $138,939.00 for the DeKalb County Superior Court Veteran’s Treatment Court from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and appropriating the amount to the Grant Fund.

To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute any necessary documents.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The Criminal Justice Coordinating Council has awarded $138,939.00 to the DeKalb County Veteran’s Treatment Court to use toward personnel, training, drug testing, psychiatric services, treatment services, housing, and transportation cost for program participants.  The grant period is from July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018.  The required cash match will be met through Superior Court operating budget and DATE Fund Budget.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Funding for all services provided by Criminal Justice Coordinating Council Grant in the amount of $138,939.00. Funding has to be spent by June 30th 2018, end of State FY 18.

Recommended Action

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents. Accept $138,939.00 for DeKalb County Superior Court Veteran’s Treatment Court from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council and appropriate the amount to the Grant Fund.
