PURPOSE:
Awarded by the BOC on June 8, 2021, for an amount not to exceed $1,062,649.00. This contract consists of the installation and replacement of quick insertion valves as a regular part of maintenance and repair operations for various waterlines. Change Order No. 1 is being proposed to: 1) provide the Department of Watershed Management the ability to purchase high pressure insertion valves not currently listed in the contract to perform work on areas with higher
pressures and 2) to allow additional time for the procurement process to be completed and new contract to be awarded. This request seeks to add additional high-pressure insertion valves to the contract and increase the contract term through December 31, 2025.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Recommend approval of Change Order No. 1 with:
F. M. Shelton, Inc., 1434 Ralph D. Abernathy Blvd. SW #1, Atlanta, GA 30310
and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute the change order and all associated documents.
