PURPOSE:
To pass a resolution requesting that the General Assembly institute a “Body Camera” Policy for Public Safety Officers;
NEED/IMPACT:
Body cameras encourage public safety officers to adhere to departmental protocols whether in a confrontation or not, and body cameras provide increased public accountability and adherence to public safety policy, rules and regulations;
FISCAL IMPACT:
