PURPOSE:
To approve a resolution to appropriate Federal Coronavirus Relief Fund proceeds from POETA account
#105424.63258.521209.01.04.602313.1 for the purposes of partnering with community-based organizations and WorkSource DeKalb in order to expand food distribution sites for individuals, families and seniors.

NEED/IMPACT:
Community-based organizations need financial support in order to provide relief and support to residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. DeKalb Community Development Department will have oversight for the program management, and monitoring of the $400,000 in funding allocations to community-based organizations. In addition, WorkSource DeKalb will have oversight for the program management and monitoring of $100,000 in funding allocated to this agencies programming.

FISCAL IMPACT:
Appropriate an amount not to exceed $500,000 from POETA Account #105424.63258.521209.01.04.602313.1 to the following Community Based Organizations:

Oakhurst Medical Centers- $60,000 ( Food distribution, housing assistance and essential needs).

First African Community Development Corporation-$120,000 (Food distribution to local organizations for the purpose of funding food distribution drives in District 4 through December 31, 2020) Provide aid to low-income, working households that are in a temporary financial crisis to prevent eviction and disconnection of utilities.
