PURPOSE:
To consider entering into an agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to install, locate, provide energy, operate and maintain street lighting within GDOT right of way; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents pertaining to this project.
NEED/IMPACT:
This project will allow for the installation of seven (7) new 74W LED luminaries on seven (7) existing poles along State Route 12/Covington Highway, from Belmont Place to the east of Strathmoor Manor Drive on GDOT right of way.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Georgia Power is not charging an installation cost since the lights will be installed on existing poles with no underground boring required. The financial impact on the Transportation Division Cost Center 5460 will be $1582.56 yearly.
