PLANNING STAFF ANALYSIS: The applicant, Rockbridge Road Self Storage, LLC. c/o William Diehl, is seeking to rezone two (2) sites from the C-1 (Local Commercial) to C-2 (General Commercial) Zoning District for the construction and operation of a three (3) story, climate controlled, self-storage, multi facility. The applicant has also filed a companion case (SLUP-23-1246653). The existing site(s) are undeveloped, heavily forested properties adjacent to Stonebridge Village Plaza shopping center. Most of the site and proposed development lie within Gwinnett County (approximately 90%) with the remaining 10% (approximately 2 acres) located in DeKalb County.
