PURPOSE:
To consider approving the Master Electrical Agreement with Georgia Power Company (GPC) for various Electrical Energy savings projects. Agreement language has been approved by LAW. Work Order #1 is at 178 Sams Street Facility to replace building interior lighting and HVAC equipment with new energy efficient equipment.
NEED/IMPACT:
The 178 Sams Street Facility is under development with new construction that requires new energy efficient lighting and HVAC equipment.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Total payment to GPC of $1,308,620 paid over a 10.5 year term at $10,350/month paid as additional add supplement to the payment of the facility electrical energy bill.

Recommendation is for approval. The 178 Sams Street is under a major redevelopment program. The proposed work will create utility savings from new energy efficient lighting and HVAC equipment.
