PURPOSE:
In response to the current economic climate, which has led to increased financial strain on families due to rising food prices, supply chain instability, and inflationary pressures, the county will host an emergency food distribution on Saturday, November 15, 2025, and another food distribution in late December. The purpose of this initiative is to ensure that families within our community are able to have nutritious meals and the opportunity to experience the spirit of the holiday season. We will partner with the following local community and faith-based organizations throughout the county to provide 6,000 boxes of essential food items to include traditional holiday meal components to residents in need. Additionally, this will contribute $25,000 to support MARTA market program.
