PURPOSE:

To accept the benefits, terms and conditions of the Fiscal Year 2020 Assistance to Firefighters Grant Program - COVID-19 Supplemental grant (AFG-S) from the U. S. Department of Homeland Security. The grant provides funds for the purchase of PPE and related supplies, including reimbursements, to prevent, prepare for, and respond to coronavirus.   The amount of the award is $580,374.36.  The grant requires a 10% match of $58,037.44.  The proposed period of performance will be from 7/3/2020 to 7/2/2021.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The grant will enable Fire Rescue to obtain supplies and equipment needed for mitigating the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Grant Funds Match.  Not to exceed $58,037.44 over the one year term of the grant.
