PURPOSE:
Georgia Power will provide funding to upgrade transformer, install switchgear, and install buried electrical cable to prepare for electrical vehicle infrastructure at the Roads & Drainage Department located at 729 Camp Road, Decatur, GA 30032.
NEED/IMPACT:
DeKalb County has acquired electric vehicles and EV infrastructure must be installed in order to utilize these vehicles at the Roads and Drainage location.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no cost to the county and no match is required. The installation of EV charging infrastructure must be performed by a Georgia Power Partner and is part of the scope of this work. The EV charging units will be provided by the Roads and Drainage Department under a separate agreement by an approved contractor.

Facilities Management recommends approval and acceptance of the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents related to the Georgia Power Electric Transportation Make Ready Program Customer Proposal Acceptance Letter to provide funding for the transformer upgrade, install switchgear, and install buried electrical cable for EV infrastructure at Roads and Drainage Department at 729 Camp Road, Decatur, Georgia.
