PURPOSE:
To appropriate District 7 reserves in the amount of $25,000 to the Recreation, Parks & Cultural Affairs Department for sculptural artwork commissioned for the DeKalb Community Achievement Center that will enhance and provide cultural enrichment to the county.
NEED/IMPACT:
The $25,000 appropriation will be used for sculptural artwork that will be commissioned for the DeKalb Community Achievement Center and owned by the county. The artwork will enhance and provide cultural enrichment to DeKalb County, as well as encourage community commonality, engagement and enjoyment. DeKalb County residents will be provided with the opportunity to assist in choosing the sculptural artwork through public participation.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Increase appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Transfer to Grant Fund (09130.611250.272.0000.0000) - $25,000.
Decrease appropriations for the following account by the amount indicated below:
Non-Departmental - Unincorporated Fund - Reserve for Appropriation (09130.579002.272.0000.0000) - $25,000.
