PURPOSE:
To consider adopting the attached Resolution and approve submitting an application to the Atlanta Regional Commission for consideration of federal funding from the Surface Transportation Block Grant - Urban (STBG - Urban), Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ), and Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) fund programs.

NEED/IMPACT:
??The Atlanta Regional Commission (ARC) is designated as the Metropolitan Planning Organization for transportation planning in the Atlanta metropolitan region and has released a call for applications for federal funding for the Surface Transportation Block Grant - Urban (STBG - Urban), Congestion Mitigation & Air Quality (CMAQ), and Transportation Alternatives Program (TAP) fund programs for fiscal years 2025 to 2028. To be considered for project funding, a resolution of support is required from the Board of Commissioners. The Resolution includes a list of specific projects the County seeks to fund. The ARC may choose to award funds for all, some, or none of the submitted projects and may also award an amount less than the maximum award applied for by the County. ?

FISCAL IMPACT:
??The local match required for these projects is proposed to be funded by SPLOST funds. ?
