PURPOSE:
Authorize the exchange of approximately 1.9 acres of land owned by DeKalb County, Georgia for approximately 2 acres of adjacent property owned by the City of Stonecrest, Georgia, related to SPLOST I Project for DeKalb County Fire Rescue Station 14
NEED/IMPACT:
Approval is needed to allow for the exchange of parcels of land between the City of Stonecrest Parcel ID 16 072 03 006 and DeKalb County, Georgia Parcel ID of 16 072 02 001
FISCAL IMPACT:
At this time, the only cost to DeKalb County will be attorney fees, title exam, title insurance expenses, and prorated stormwater fees if applicable.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Authorize the exchange of approximately 1.9 acres of land owned by DeKalb County, Georgia for approximately 2 acres of adjacent property owned by the City of Stonecrest, Georgia, related to SPLOST I Project for DeKalb County Fire Rescue Station 14. By adopting the intergovernmental agreement, in final form that will be approved by the County Attorney; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents in connection with the acquisition, closing and exchange.
