PURPOSE:
To allocate $375,000.00 of American Rescue Plan Act Funds to Frontline Response to allow Frontline Response to provide eligible assistance to individuals in DeKalb County. Included services: Warming Center operations, food, transportation, case management, and administration for up to 300 unhoused persons in DeKalb County when temperatures reach 35 degrees or below

NEED/IMPACT:
A void exists for a DeKalb County licensed homeless shelter or primary designated space for the unhoused in need of services during cycles of inclement weather.

Frontline Response offers direct service and facility space to those experiencing homelessness and/or who are in need of warming center services. This funding will cover warming center operations, food, transportation, case management, and administration for up to 300 unhoused persons in DeKalb County for a period of sixty-five (65) days of cold weather when temperatures reach thirty-five (35) degrees or below. The anticipated date ranges of the Frontline warming center operations are November 20, 2024 through April 30, 2025
