PURPOSE:

To accept a $50,000 Park Pride Community Building Grant to replace the existing playground, and set-up a new Frazier Rowe project in RPCA’s grants organization.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

This grant is designated for the installation of playground equipment at Frazier Rowe Park.  The playground will provide additional recreational opportunities for the surrounding community.  The grant will be matched with $12,000 from the Friends of Frazier Rowe Park and $232,000 from SPLOST category 3C, totaling $294,000.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Park Pride Grant Building Grant - $50,000

Friends Group - $12,000  

SPLOST I - $232,000 - (104789-80653-541200-602007)

Total - $294,000

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

To accept a $50,000 Park Pride Building Grant for capital improvements at Frazier Rowe Park; and set-up a new Frazier Rowe Park project in RPCA’s grant organization and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to complete the project.
