PURPOSE:

Recording of the Appointment of Daniel Reuter to the District 2 Community Council Board

 

NEED/IMPACT:

DeKalb County Community Councils review applications for rezoning, land use plan amendments, special land use permits, and text amendments, and report their recommendations to the DeKalb County Planning Commission. Pursuant to the Zoning Code of DeKalb County, the Super District Commissioners shall appoint 4 members to each District Community Council Board. Community council members serve at the pleasure of the commissioner making their appointment or until a successor is appointed and qualified. This item is submitted by Commissioner Terry for recording in the minutes.

Mr. Reuter has over 3 decades of experience in public policy, urban planning and addressing complex transportation, urban, and regional planning challenges. He will replace Donna Skelcy on the District Community Council. Ms. Skelcy has relocated out of the state in 2025.

No fiscal impact to DeKalb County
