PURPOSE:
Reserve for Appropriation Public Art Fund was created in the 2024 Operational Budget to advance art projects throughout DeKalb County.
NEED/IMPACT:
Murals are an artistic expression that often convey messages of community, civic engagement reflecting the spirit of the community itself. Murals are visual experiences promoting culture, community fostering creativity, expressions of communities, neighborhoods and people.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Distribute D4 Reserves for Appropriation-Public Art Fund in the amount of $25,000.00 to Living Walls Mural Organization for mural projects in Clarkston and Scotttdale.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the resolution and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
