PURPOSE:
To consider authorizing the payment of up to $75,000 to Norfolk Southern Railway Company and/or RailPros Field Services, Inc. for construction phase services for the Cedar Grove Road Bridge Replacement project; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to facilitate this work.
NEED/IMPACT:
A design/build contract is currently underway for replacement of the Cedar Grove Road bridge over Norfolk Southern Railway Company tracks. Norfolk Southern Railway Company has hired RailPros Field Services, Inc. to monitor the bridge construction and provide railroad flagging services on their behalf. Norfolk Southern requires that the cost of these services be reimbursed by DeKalb County.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Line item 1B SPLOST funds will be used in the amount of $75,000.

Recommended Action
