PURPOSE:

The purpose of this agenda item is to allocate funding to Georgia Piedmont Technical College Foundation to provide emergency assistance for students who have been financially and adversly impacted by the COVID - 19 public health crises.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

According to United States Department of Education Secretary, Miguel Cardona, “These funds are critical to ensuring that all of our nation’s students - particularly those disproportionately impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic - have the opportunity to enroll, continue their education, graduate, and pursue their careers,”

To approve the resolution and authorize the chief executive officer to execute all necessary documents.
