PURPOSE:

To transfer $65,200 from the District 1 Pleasantdale Park Land Proceed Fund to the City of Tucker for the
purpose engineering and construction of two unisex bathrooms at Peters Park.

NEED/IMPACT:

These funds are needed to cover a budget shortfall for the installation of a bathroom facility at William McKinley Peters Park. Over the last several years significant investments were put into the park including a new cement pad and pavilion, along with related electrical and water infrastructure. Improvements were also made to swings, fencing, grills, and playground equipment. Upon completion of these improvements, community members have petitioned for restrooms at the park as well. This project will convert a portion of the pavilion to provide the restrooms. This approach will efficiently utilize existing water and electrical infrastructure and significantly reduce the cost of the project.

FISCAL IMPACT:

To be funded from District 1 Pleasantdale Park Land Proceed Fund

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

To approve the transfer of $65,200 from District 1 Pleasantdale Park Land Proceed Fund to the city of Tucker; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents to complete the project.
