PURPOSE:
To consider the approval of consent to sublease and modification of the Kirkwood Mental Health Center, Clifton Springs Mental Health Center and Winn Way Mental Health Center under Contract No. 13-800971 with DeKalb Community Service Board, d.b.a. Claratel Behavioral Health, to Genoa Healthcare LLC for use as pharmacies.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Lease Agreement between DeKalb Community Service Board, d.b.a. Claratel Behavioral Health ("Claratel"), and DeKalb County, identified as Contract No. 13-800971, was executed on January 31, 2013 and leases several premises to Claratel. Claratel desires to sublease portions of the Kirkwood Mental Health Center, Clifton Springs Mental Health Center, and Winn Way Mental Health Center to Genoa Healthcare LLC, for use as pharmacies serving Claratel's clients and modifications and alterations to the subleased properties are needed to operate pharmacies. Under Section 26 of the Agreement, Claratel cannot sublet the whole or any part of the leased premises without the consent of DeKalb County. Under Section 22 of the Agreement, Claratel may undertake structural modifications, alterations, or improvements to the leased premises with DeKalb County's prior approval. The pharmacies will directly benefit patients of Claratel.
