PURPOSE:
To approve a resolution to appropriate $25,000 from the Coronavirus Aid, Relief and Economic Security
(CARES) ACT assigned to Grant Fund #258 (POETA account #105424.63258.521209.01.04.602313.1), to
Let's Chat, LLC, DBA Respectful Ways for the purposes of deploying custom designed Social-Emotional
Learning (SEL) curriculum for students and educators in the DeKalb County School District suffering due to
social isolation, school and childcare closures, and psychological distress during the COVID-19 crisis.
NEED/IMPACT:
To provide funding to the organization Let's Chat, LLC, DBA Respectful Ways for deploying online modules to address social emotional learning, promote academic success, and provide stress management techniques that can assist students with coping with COVID-19 related changes due to the pandemic.
FISCAL IMPACT:
