PURPOSE:
To allocate $59,263 from the District 2 Reserve for Appropriation to 100 Black Men of DeKalb County to support the DeKalb Youth Explorers program.
NEED/IMPACT:
The 100 Black Men of DeKalb develop culturally responsive leaders equipped with the knowledge, skills, confidence and experience they need to lead in their families, academic institutions, careers, and communities. The DeKalb Youth Explorer program was created by Commissioner Michelle Long Spears to further leadership development and continue the organization’s drive to improve the well-being and quality of life of black and brown youth and their families by enhancing education, environmental, and economic opportunities.
FISCAL IMPACT:
An allocation not to exceed $59,263 from the District 2 Reserve for Appropriation (00202.579002.100.0000.0000).
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the allocation and authorize the Chief Executive Officer or her designee to execute all necessary documents.
