PURPOSE:
To consider approving the GY2019 and GY2020 Urban Area Security Initiative (UASI) grant to receive project equipment; and
To consider accepting project equipment purchased by UASI on behalf of the DeKalb County Police Department and the DeKalb County Fire Department as detailed below:
Law Enforcement Operations Program for GY2019 valued at an estimated $220,035.00
Fire and Rescue Program for FY2020 valued at an estimated $25,425.00
Law Enforcement Operations Program for GY2020 valued at an estimated $19,902.96
NEED/IMPACT:
The equipment purchased by UASI will support the operations of the DeKalb County Police Department and the DeKalb County Fire Department.
FISCAL IMPACT:
This grant does not require a match contribution. There are no positions created by this funding.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the GY2019 and GY2020 UASI grant to receive project equipment; and To accept project equipment purchased by UASI on behalf of the DeKalb County Police Department and the DeKalb County Fire Department; and To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all the necessary documents.
