PURPOSE:

To request renewal of the contract with Columbus State University Leadership Institute to continue the Bright
Futures Leadership Development Program (BFLDP), the County's elite training, for use by the Department of
Human Resources & Merit System. Services to include curriculum revisions and development, leadership
training, counseling, and coaching to selected soaring executives, emerging leaders, and aspiring managers for
10 months.

To approve Columbus State University Leadership Institute as the continued collegiate partner for the County's
Bright Futures Leadership Development Program.

A renewal contract will be executed in a form acceptable to the County Attorney or his designee.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

Investing in BFLDP is a forward-thinking, fiscally responsible approach to drive long-term organizational

excellence. This high-impact program enables DeKalb County to cultivate a robust pipeline of visionary leaders

who are prepared, willing, and able to lead DeKalb County into the future.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

Program included in the FY2026 - FY2027 department budget not to exceed $300K
