PURPOSE:
To approve an agreement between How Big Is Your Dream, Foundation, Inc and DeKalb County for $135,000.00 to conduct youth workshops with music, arts, diversity, and equity at Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center. The program will take place from April 6, 2026 to December 31, 2026.
NEED/IMPACT:
To enhance the skills and talents of student artists in DeKalb County that have an interest in music and arts entertainment. The workshops will encourage growth and expound upon the adaptability of music theory. Sessions will be offered to youth ages 10-18 years of age with no musical experience to advance artistry.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The project will be supported by allocated funds from Districts 3, 5, and 7; also, RPCA will contribute monies from its general operating account to support the events. Specifically, the following sources have been identified:
D5 - 2026-0479 - $25,000.00
D3 - 2026-0536 - $10,000.00
D7 - 2026-0786 - $5,000.00
D3 - 2026-0912 -$10,000.00
RPCA’s General Operating Account - $75,000.00
Total - $135,000.00
