PURPOSE:

To consider entering into an agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to install, locate, provide energy, operate, maintain and design street lighting within GDOT right of way; and
To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents pertaining to this project.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

This agreement is necessary to complete the street light installation requirements of the Zoning and Land Development Codes. The project will install thirteen (13) new 74W LED post top lights on thirteen (13) new poles along State Route 236/LaVista Road, from LaVista Drive to Richard Stokes Drive.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

The developer had paid the initial installation costs to Georgia Power.  The financial impact on the Transportation Division Cost Center 5460 will be $3660.00 yearly.
