PURPOSE:
To approve the appropriation of $5,000 from the Youth Violence Prevention Funds Reserved For Appropriation by District 5 to the DeKalb County Juvenile Justice Council to assist DeKalb juveniles with education, technology, counseling, and other wrap-around services, as well as deliver quality programming to aid in the rehabilitation and redirection of at-risk youth in DeKalb County.
NEED/IMPACT:
The mission of the DeKalb Juvenile Justice Council is to support the efforts of the DeKalb County Juvenile Court to recognize and respond to the trauma-related needs of youth and their families, and to develop sustainable pathways to empower youth toward success.
This funding is to support the programming of the DeKalb Juvenile Justice Council.
