PURPOSE:

Application of the Director of Planning & Sustainability for the DeKalb County Board of Commissioners to hold a public hearing to consider and review whether to extend a moratorium on Adult Entertainment Establishments/ Sexual Devices.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The proposed extension of the moratorium allows County Staff and governing authority time to study the impacts of Adult Entertainment Establishments and sells of Sexual Devices on the public safety and general welfare of County residents and to craft and potentially adopt regulations to counter or ameliorate any such negative impacts.

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

Approval to extend a moratorium on the acceptance of application and issuance of certificates, permits, or licenses relating to the commercial sale, adult establishments and distribution of sexual devices for sixty (60) days to expire on October 2nd.
