PURPOSE:

To amend the Board of Commissioners Standing Procedural Rules concerning public hearings to provide ten (10) minutes of public comment for the proponents and ten (10) minutes of public comment for the opponents of the annual and mid-year budgets.

NEED/IMPACT:

Current rules concerning public hearings only allow five (5) minutes of public comment per side for all non-zoning matters, including the annual and mid-year budget. This amendment increases that time to ensure that the public is provided an adequate opportunity for input.
