PURPOSE:
This contract consists of purchasing from the competitively let NCTCOG/TXShare contract to temporarily augment existing procurement staff while efforts continue to fill hard to fill vacancies requiring more experienced procurement candidates. Procurement roles being augmented include a Procurement Manager, Procurement Agent Senior, and Procurement Agents. These roles required more experienced procurement professionals who already had well developed foundational knowledge in state and local public procurement and best practices. Additionally, these roles were seeking recent experience performing the entirety of pre-award through post-award procurement activities. By leveraging these temporary augmented staff members' expertise, P&C has been able to quickly continue processing procurement requests seeking various services, capital improvement/consent decree construction (CIP), and non-CIP construction.
