PURPOSE:
To approve an appropriation of $100,000 from the America Rescue Plan grant funds assigned to the account reserved for District 7 to the Gregory B. Levett, Sr. Family Foundation for the purpose of providing education and training for business stabilization and restructuring to DeKalb County residents and business owners to mitigate the public health emergency created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Gregory B. Levett, Sr. Family Foundation will provide education and training for business stabilization and restructuring to DeKalb County residents and business owners who have been impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, lost their business or have reduced wages as a result of the crisis. The Gregory B. Levett, Sr. Family Foundation will provide training and education through the Beyond Dreaming workshops, business mentoring, and networking opportunities.
FISCAL IMPACT:
To Appropriate $100,000 in American Rescue Plan Grant Funds assigned to POETA Account 105744.63258.521209.01.07.602479 reserved for the District 7 appropriation to the Gregory B. Levett, Sr. Family Foundation to mitigate the public health emergency created by the COVID-19 pandemic.
