PURPOSE:

To accept the technology subgrant funds in the amount of $4,000 awarded by the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council to the County for the benefit of the State Court of DeKalb County’s DUI Court Program.  These funds were added to the already existing award approved by the BOC Agenda Item 2024-0731 on June 25, 2024.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The technology funds will be used to continue to support the court’s mission in a collaborative effort with other entities and agencies in the recovery of eligible participants dealing with substance abuse.  As part of the work of the DUI Court, these funds will be allocated towards the purchase of essential technology equipment to enhance program operations.

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

There is no additional cost to the county to accept the additional funds awarded by the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council.

 

RECOMMENDATION:

Recommended Action

To accept the technology funds in the amount of $4,000 from the Criminal Justice Coordinating Council for the benefit of the State Court of DeKalb County’s DUI Court.  To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
