PURPOSE:
To allocate $25,000 of District 2 ARP Interest funds to Women’s Resource Center to support Nia’s Place
NEED/IMPACT:
This allocation will support Nia's Place, a supervised visitation and safe exchange center operated by the Women's Resource Center to End Domestic Violence. For survivors of domestic violence, the period immediately following separation is often the most dangerous. Despite protective orders or no-contact conditions, many survivors must continue interacting with their abusers to exchange children for court-ordered visitation. Nia's Place provides a secure, neutral environment where these exchanges and supervised visits can occur safely, reducing the risk of further violence while preserving healthy parent-child relationships.
FISCAL IMPACT:
An amount not to exceed $25,000 from District 2 ARPI (00202.582206.100.000.0000)
