PURPOSE:
Pursuant to Section 13A of the DeKalb County Organizational Act and O.C.G.A. § 49-3-2, CEO Cochran-Johnson nominates Aprille Moore for appointment to Post 5 of the DeKalb County Board of Family and Children Services for the remainder of a five (5) year term, which expires on June 30, 2028. Post 5 is currently vacant.
NEED/IMPACT:
The purpose of the DeKalb County Board of Family and Children Services is to act as a liaison between the County Department and the local community and to protect the well-being of the children while preserving family integrity. The Board reviews the administration of all welfare and public assistance functions for the County, including Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP), employment services, child protective services, foster care, and adoptions.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No cost to the County.
