PURPOSE:
To consider adopting the attached Resolution and submitting an application to GDOT for consideration of
federal funding from the Congestion Mitigation and Air Quality (CMAQ) and the Transportation Alternatives (TA) programs for the (1) Cedar Grove Drive, Thurman Drive (CONN 54) and Old McDonough Road Roundabout (2) Bike/Pedestrian Trail project connecting Scottdale to the Stone Mountain Trail and Kensington Station; and To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute necessary documents related to the application.

NEED/IMPACT:
GDOT is designated as the administrator for the CMAQ and TA programs and has released a call for applications for federal funding. To be considered for project funding, a resolution of support is required from the Board of Commissioners. The Resolution also contains specific projects the County seeks to fund, which are taken from an adopted DeKalb County Plan. GDOT may choose to award funds for all or none of the submitted projects and may also award an amount less than the maximum award applied for by the County.
