PURPOSE:
The Clerk to Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Commissioners would like the minutes of the Commission to reflect appointments made by individual Commissioners to various boards and authorities. Shamsh Jaffer, previously appointed by former Commissioner Kathie Gannon, has served as the District 6 Watershed CIP Advisory Board appointment for close to a decade. In 2021, Shamsh Jaffer accepted Commissioner Terry's appointment to continue serving at this capacity which expired 12/31/2024. He has diligently served, and we are all grateful for his contributions.

NEED/IMPACT:
As Commissioner Terry begins his 2nd term as the Super District Commissioner, his intention is to appoint Winton Cooper as the District 6 Watershed CIP Advisory Board appointee. Mr. Cooper is an environmental scientist and published researcher with a strong passion for sustainability and community well-being. In his professional role as a water quality specialist, he focus on surface water quality, pollutant investigations and code enforcement. He also has an extensive knowledge of stormwater, wastewater, and drinking water systems, which complements his interest in environmental policy.
