PURPOSE:
To approve the amendment of a Georgia Power easement on 4993 Ashford Dunwoody Road. The Department of Watershed Management is preparing to paint the Dunwoody Elevated Tank and needs to install skirting to contain debris. However, Georgia Power’s existing above-ground electrical feed obstructs that work. Georgia Power proposes to relocate the feed underground, which requires a new underground easement. This amendment will allow the relocation to proceed.
NEED/IMPACT:
The Department of Watershed Management plans to repaint the Dunwoody Elevated Tank. Approving this underground easement will enable the County to continue its renovation work.
FISCAL IMPACT:
There is no fiscal impact to the County.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Authorize the granting of an underground easement that allows Georgia Power to install its electrical feed underground on 4993 Ashford Dunwoody Road. Authorize the Chief Executive Office or designee to executive any necessary documents in a form acceptable to the County Attorney.
