PURPOSE:
To approve the appropriations in an amount not to exceed $98,750 (00201.579002.100) to InTelegy for a Childcare and Caregiving Needs Assessment & Strategic Planning Initiative
NEED/IMPACT:
Access to affordable, high-quality childcare is a critical component of economic stability, workforce participation, and family well-being. Across the United States, communities are increasingly recognizing that childcare availability directly affects employment outcomes, economic development, and quality of life for working families.
InTelegy proposes to support Commissioner Robert Patrick and DeKalb County leadership through the development of a comprehensive childcare and caregiving needs assessment designed to evaluate the availability, accessibility, and gaps in childcare services within the county.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Funds will come District 1’s Reserve for Appropriations Acct # 00201.579002.100
