PURPOSE:
To approve settlement of DeKalb’s County objections to the Emory Annexation that were raised by DeKalb County or could have been raised by DeKalb County in relation to the Emory Annexation and authorize a Settlement Agreement and Intergovernmental Agreement with the City of Atlanta related to the annexation and the delivery of services in the annexed area.
A substantially final draft of the Intergovernmental and Settlement Agreement is attached to this item.

RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
Vote to approve the Intergovernmental Agreement and Settlement Agreement with the City of Atlanta related to the Emory Annexation; approve the attached Agreement in a form acceptable to the County Attorney and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
