PURPOSE:
To present the Recreation Parks and Cultural Affairs Master Plan for Pendergrast Park and request approval of the plan.
NEED/IMPACT:
Pendergrast Park is a small 4.2 acre neighborhood park in the northern part of the County off of Chrysler Road. The park, acquired by RPCA in 2012 with 2001 Parks Bond District 2 funds, was a home site that has since been demolished, and the grounds remediated. Working with the Friends of Pendergrast Park, the basic concept was turned into a formal master plan with cost estimate. The plan includes a shelter, playground, site amenities, trails, garden, landscaping, and parking. The total cost estimate for the project is $396,000.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No fiscal impact to 2019 budget.
RECOMMENDATION:
Recommended Action
To approve the RPCA master plan for Pendergrast Park; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all the necessary documents for the completion of the project.
