PURPOSE:
The Recreation, Parks and Cultural Affairs Department seeks Board of Commissioner approval to install a memorial for Mrs. Sadie Sims at Washington Park.
NEED/IMPACT:
At the request of the surrounding community and Friends of Washington Park, RPCA seeks approval for the Friends of Washington Park to install a memorial for Mrs. Sadie Sims at Washington Park which is located at 2830 Arborcrest Drive. Mrs. Sims was known as the “Mayor” of Washington Park and lived in the area for over 35 years.

Recommended Action
To approve the memorial to be installed at Washington Park for Mrs. Sadie Sims and to authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all necessary documents.
