PURPOSE:
To repeal and replace the licensing and operational regulations in Chapter 15 on Licenses, Permits, and Miscellaneous Business Regulations of DeKalb County, Article XII on Adult Entertainment Establishments, by adopting a replacement article, Adult Establishments, for the purpose of updating definitions and regulations.
NEED/IMPACT:
The update to the County’s code on Adult Establishments is needed to reflect current case law, including decisions from the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals, updating definitions, license application/issuance/renewal procedures, conduct standards, distance requirements from residential and other sensitive uses.
FISCAL IMPACT:
The fiscal impact of the proposed amendment is neutral.
