PURPOSE:
To consider entering into an agreement with the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) to install, locate, provide energy, operate, maintain and design street lighting within GDOT right of way along Memorial Drive; and To consider authorizing the Chief Executive Officer to execute the necessary documents pertaining to this project.
NEED/IMPACT:
This agreement is necessary to install twenty-three (23) new 101W LED luminaries on twenty-three (23) existing poles along State Route 154/Memorial Drive, from Beech Drive to northeast of Covington Drive.
FISCAL IMPACT:
Georgia Power is not charging an installation cost since the lights will be installed on existing poles with no underground boring required. The financial impact on the Transportation Division Cost Center 5460 will be $6,168.60 yearly.
