PURPOSE:

To amend the SLUP 6ordinance concerning the acceptance issuance or denial of applications for special land use permits for the establishment or expansion of alcohol outlets, automobile gas stations, automobile repair, and maintenance shops automobile service stations, check cashing establishments, convenience stores, drive thru restaurants, and pawn shops in commercial districts.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

This SLUP 6 ordinance has been discussed for a lengthy period of time and has been the subject of numerous public hearings, committee meetings and discussions with various stakeholders.  Planning staff has reviewed all drafts, considered all comments and recommends adoption of the attached ordinance to the Board of Commissioners. 

 

The Board of Commissioners has received and accepted various reports, data and information about this ordinance including the presentation of the report generated by Dr. Dean Dabney at the commission’s May 9, 2017 public hearing on this ordinance

Hold a public hearing and adopt the attached ordinance.
