PURPOSE:

To request that the Administration (1) review; (2) provide feedback, revisions, and responses, as appropriate; and (3) consider supporting an amendment to the Code of DeKalb County, As Revised, 1988 to address discrimination in public accommodation and to provide general definitions of protected classes and characteristics.

 

NEED/IMPACT:

The proposed Ordinance amendment would provide realistic, reasonable discrimination protections locally and discourage anyone operating a business or offering public accommodations within DeKalb County from discriminating.

 

 

 

FISCAL IMPACT:

No cost to the County

Recommended Action

To adopt the attached Resolution requesting that the Administration (1) review; (2) provide feedback, revisions, and responses, as appropriate; and (3) consider supporting an amendment to the Code of DeKalb County, As Revised, 1988 to address discrimination in public accommodation and to provide general definitions of protected classes and characteristics.
