Consists of the repair and waterproofing of the Juvenile Justice Court Center parking deck. Recommend approval to ratify the emergency purchase with Metro Waterproofing, Inc. Amount Not To Exceed: $330,370.00.

PURPOSE:
The Juvenile Justice Court Center parking deck needed immediate repair to address drainage issues and to minimize water infiltration throughout the structure. Specifically, two (2) locations to include the 5th and 6th floors were identified as having been damaged over time and as a result were in critical condition and in danger of collapse. Other locations were compromised and in need of repair for continued use. Water infiltration caused the structure to deteriorate and crumble. The emergency work consists of waterproofing via traffic coating and sealants in the damaged areas to keep the water out of the parking deck which is a major contributor to the problem.
