PURPOSE:
To transfer $40,000.00 from 2001 Parks Bond District 1 account 102459.80314.541200.06.600019 to fund a new account to be used as Henderson Park grant match for park improvements.
NEED/IMPACT:
This funding is needed to match a grant secured by the Friends of Henderson Park. The Friends of Henderson Park (FHOP) were successful in securing a $20,384.00 Park Pride grant to improve and enhance the recreational experience for the community park users. The total project cost supported by this effort is $68,584.00. The funding will be used for trail design, trailhead markers, pet waste stations, four kiosks and other park improvements. Total source of funds: DeKalb County $40,000.00, Park Pride grant $20,384.00, community cash contributions and other support $2,000, Adopt-a-trail & crowd fundraising from FOHP $6,200.00.
FISCAL IMPACT:
No impact to the 2017 fiscal budget.

Recommended Action
Recommend that funds in the amount of $40,000.00 be transferred from 2001 Parks Bond District 1 account 102459.80314.541200.06.600019 to fund a new account to be used as a Henderson Park grant match; and authorize the Chief Executive Officer to execute all the necessary documents and contracts for the completion of the project.
